Nicolai Kolding brings to August Hill over twenty years of real estate experience including leadership in two successful start-ups, over a decade overseeing the mergers & acquisitions team that built the largest brokerage in the world, and advising some of the industry’s largest companies through complex transactions and projects. He brings to our clients a unique combination of global experiences in M&A, strategy, research and analytics, as well as brand and leadership development.

Immediately prior to joining August Hill, Mr. Kolding was CEO of a private equity backed real estate technology start-up that focused on guaranteeing repeat customers for brokers and agents while giving them a platform to generate new sell-side leads.

Prior to that, he spent sixteen years at Realogy (now Anywhere Real Estate) in various leadership positions including as the head of corporate development (which included the three departments of M&A, business intelligence, and competitive intelligence) as well as two years as Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate’s first COO.

Mr. Kolding also served for three years as a partner at REAL Trends, advising some of the largest brokerages and brands in the industry.

Mr. Kolding graduated from Lehigh University. He and his family live in northern New Jersey but spend as much time as they’re able at their island cabin in Norway. He is a mentor/advisor to several real estate start-ups and holds an active NJ real estate broker’s license.
